Create this gorgeous tree card using the Sheltering Tree stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Handmade tree card using scraps and the Sheltering Tree stamp set by Stampin' Up!

The Sheltering Tree stamp set has been with us for a while now. It is a simple but beautiful set which I seem to dig out time and time again.

Simply changing the colour of the leaves changes the look of the card - I went for a colour scheme of Balmy Blue, Shaded Spruce and Soft Suede for this project.

The whole basis for the card was the 'thanks' sentiment which was in my scraps pot - I save all the small stamped images that I have created but are excess.

You can watch the video of how I made this card below, and a full list of Stampin' Supplies for this project is found at the very bottom of this post.

Create a simple butterfly card using the Sale-A-Bration Botanical Butterfly DSP by Stampin' Up!

Simple handmade butterfly card created with the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper by Stampin' Up!

Are you a butterfly fan?
I think they are beautiful creatures. I love the patterns on their beautiful wings, but more so I love the variety of colour. Since I picked cardmaking back up as a hobby seven years ago, I found that I really enjoy making butterfly themed cards.

I am really delighted with the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper which is FREE during Sale-A-Bration. You can create super quick, detailed, butterfly cards with it:

Today's project is a basic bit of stamping, some fussy-cutting and some Metallic Pearls. There is very little work to this card as the video shows (please Subscribe!).

You could create a beautiful set of these using the different butterflies in the paper, and the different stamps in the Eastern Beauty stamp set. A full list of supplies is found at the bottom of this post.

What do you think? Do you like butterflies? Do they inspire you like they do me? I love getting your comments so feel free to leave them at the bottom of this post, or on my YouTube videos.

Thanks for stopping by today,
Happy Stamping!

Create a #simplestamping Follow Your Dreams card in shades of blue

Handmade Dreamcatcher card in shades blue made with the Follow Your Dreams stamp set and Balmy Blue ink by Stampin' Up!

Create a gorgeous #simplestamping Dreamcatcher card
I adore the Follow Your Dreams stamp set by Stampin' Up! I have found it to be the perfect accompaniment for all those #simplestamping projects. If you're unsure what the #simplestamping movement is, it's the encouragement of simple (but beautiful!) cards being created with a very few basic stamping supplies - usually a notecard, stamps and paper. These #simplestamping projects demonstrate that anyone can stamp!

Following on from the Pink Follow Your Dreams Card I made a few weeks ago, I thought it would be lovely to attempt this in shades of blue.

As the video explains, I opted for Balmy Blue, Blueberry Bushel, Coastal Cabana and Smoky Slate. They were a lovely combination! You can find the whole list of supplies at the bottom of this blog post.

The Metallic Pearls (I used silver) were the perfect match - however this project would look just as lovely without.

Making personalised nametags for presents and cards

Christmas gift with personalised tag handstamped using the Make A Difference stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Personalising wrapped gifts
At Christmas, Mr Hippy was asked to buy a Secret Santa present for his work friend, also called Lauren.

For those not in the UK, Secret Santa is where you have to buy a Christmas present for one of your colleagues, and usually the name is picked out of a hat. This is kept a secret, and usually there is a maximum spend to keep it fair.

He asked me if I would mind wrapping Lauren's gifts. Of course I jumped at the chance and was presented with a box and a bottle (not shown) to wrap.

Of course all the Secret Santa presents are put together (so as not to give away who is gifting what) and so it needed Lauren's name on. This is where my Stampin' Up! supplies came in handy.

I used the Make A Difference Photopolymer Stamp Set to stamp Lauren's name, which I later embossed in Gold.

By all accounts Lauren absolutely loved her gifts and the wrapping - I wish I had taken a picture of the bottle as it was wrapped particularly snazzily.

Turn your old Clear Mount stamps into our new Cling Mount stamps - video tutorial

We have new stamps?
As I explained a few days ago our new Cling Stamps have arrived. They're a better version of our red rubber 'Clear' stamps.
It makes more sense to call our red rubber stamps 'Cling' rather than 'Clear', as our Photopolymer stamps are clear in appearance - great move Stampin' Up!

Our new Cling Stamps are super sticky.

Watch the video below to see how you can mount your old Clear Mount stamps into our new Cling Stamps.

You can view our new range of Cling Stamps in the ticker below:

If you have any questions at al don't hesitate to give me a shout.

How to mount the new Cling Stamps by Stampin' Up!

Stampin' Up! Cling Mount stamp mounted on to Clear Block

Our new Cling Stamps are here!
Our new Cling Stamps have arrived. They are absolutely fab! If you're wondering what they are, they're basically the new, updated, bettered (is that even a word?) version of our red rubber 'Clear' stamps.

Many of you (myself included) did not bother mounting the stickers on to our Clear Stamps. I never bothered because I found them to work without the stickers, and so not adding the stickers saved me quite a bit of time.

However, our new Cling Stamps are super sticky, so it's well worth adding those stickers!

Watch the video above to see how you mount the new Cling Stamps. Simple, hey?

It makes much more sense to call our red rubber stamps 'Cling' rather than 'Clear', as our Photopolymer stamps are clear in appearance, so personally I think this is a great move from Stampin' Up!

You can view our new range of Cling Stamps in the ticker below:

If you have any questions at all, on the new Cling Stamps or on any Stampin' Up! product or issue, be sure to give me a shout using the email address above.

Stampin' Up! Stamparatus - Hinge Technique (Faded Effect)

Handmade card created with the Stamparatus and Bouquet Blooms stamp set in Rich Razzleberry ink by Stampin' Up!

Learn the Stamparatus Hinge Technique
One of the best things about Stamparatus is being able to stamp in a vertical line perfectly. This is achieved by using the Hinge Technique. Simply place your stamp where you'd like it to be, stamp, and then move the stamping platform down one notch.

This creates a perfect line. Of course you can clean your stamp and re-stamp in a different colour, but today I created a faded look using one colour and stamping multiple times without re-applying the colour, which was Rich Razzleberry

Floral handmade card made with the Bouquet Blooms stamp set in Rich Razzleberry ink by Stampin' Up!

This is such a great technique and takes all of the guesswork out of it. As much as I loved the Stamp-a-majig there was still room for error, but not with the Stamparatus.

If you'd like to create this project there is a full list of Stampin' Supplies below this post.

Create a Bee-autiful card with the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies by Stampin' Up!

Handmade bee card with a wood textured background and Crushed Curry yellow flowers made with the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies by Stampin' Up!

Don't forget the bee in the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies set
Every now and then I like to create a bee-themed project. I love bees, and I love the opportunity to use yellow (in this case Crushed Curry) and pull it off.

I love that Stampin' Up! included a small bee in the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies set, and some bee images in the coordinating Dragonfly Dreams stamp set. Perfect for whimsical summer projects, and for creating cards for nature lovers.

The Wood Textures Designer Series Paper adds a natural feel to the card and provides the perfect background for this project. I've had this paper a while but not used it enough! You can find a full list of supplies to make this card at the bottom of the blog post, and you can watch the video HERE.

Pacific Point Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies Card

Handmade dragonfly card with Pacific Point blue dragonfly, and colourful flower detail made with the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies by Stampin' Up!

Happy New Year everyone!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, or whatever winter festival you celebrate. It might be January ~ the longest month ever! ~ and a bit dreary out, but that doesn't mean our stamping projects can't be cheerful and full of colour.

Watch today's project HERE.

I thought I would go for something bright today. I created this dragonfly card using Pacific Point cardstock, the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies and the Big Shot.

Handmade dragonfly card with Pacific Point blue dragonfly, and colourful flower detail made with the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies by Stampin' Up!

These dies have a mixture of open and detailed images and co-ordinate with the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set. I have used them an awful lot since I invested in them.

I wanted to use some of my Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper, and chose this piece - I then chose Pacific Point as my central colour to compliment the blue in the paper. You can find a full list of the supplies I used to make this card at the bottom of this blog post.

What projects are you making this year? I love to see your creations whether made of paper or other mediums, please send them to me if you fancy showing them off!

Back soon with another project, wishing you all the very best for 2019,
