Create a beautiful 'Thank You' card using Blueberry Bushel Cardstock with the Lovely Floral Embossing Folder from Stampin' Up!

This picture shows a handmade 'Thank You' card made using the Blueberry Bushel Cardstock and the Lovely Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder from Stampin' Up!

Create today's project - it's easier than it looks!
I love detailed cards. There's something really satisfying about getting the last bits of detail 'just right' (in this case the sequins) - and then standing back to admire your handiwork.

Today's card is so simple to make. It's just lots of different elements put together to create a co-ordinated, detailed look.

I decided the basis for my card would be some Blueberry Bushel Cardstock and the Lovely Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

This embossing folder is from the beautiful Share What You Love Suite and is ideal for all those whimsical, gentle, floral projects..

Once I had decided on the two elements making up the main part of my card, I had to decide what to use next. I opted to fussy cut some flowers from the Stampin' Up! Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Need some Stampin' Supplies?
If you'd like to recreate my project exactly you'll need the following supplies:

Make simple changes to your project for a different look
Of course you could stamp and colour the flowers instead of fussy cutting from paper. You could use buttons instead of sequins, and you could use Black Cardstock for the card base instead of white. So many opportunities to create a totally different card using the same layout.

Create interesting backgrounds using the Under the Sea Framelits Dies from Stampin' Up!

This photograph shows a hand made card created using the Under the Sea Framelits Dies and Tranquil Tide ink and cardstock by Stampin' Up!

Do you ever get stuck for an interesting background?
Sometimes it's good to think outside the box a little. When I didn't know what sort of card I wanted to make, I instead focused on what I wanted to use. And today it was the Under the Sea Framelits Dies by Stampin' Up!

Then it was a matter of choosing what colours I wanted to work with. I wanted to create an unusual sea-themed, nautical card using some interesting colours so I opted for Tranquil Tide and Highland Heather

This photograph shows a hand made, purple and green card created using the Under the Sea Framelits Dies and Tranquil Tide ink and cardstock by Stampin' Up!

I also used the Waterfront Stamp Set for the sentiment and the little beach hut. The Wood Textures Designer Series Paper gives you the feel of an old wooden ship hatch.

You can find a complete list of the products I used here:

What do you think?
I think I pulled it off! I really enjoyed making it though, and that's what counts. Have a little look around the site using the Search Bar and the Labels on the right hand side of this website for more inspiration and projects.

Create a Coastal Cabana Sea of Textures Octopus card

This image shows a handmade card with a Coastal Cabana octopus and the sentiment 'love you' and is made with the Sea of Textures and Labeler Alphabet stamp sets from Stampin' Up!

Get your hands on the Sea of Textures stamp set by Stampin' Up! and keep yourself octopied (occupied)!

The new Sea of Textures stamp set is shaping up to be one of my favourite stamp sets from the new Annual Catalogue. It is a fun and fresh stamp set perfect for all sorts of papercraft projects.

I decided that today's card was going to be a mixture of Basic Black, Coastal Cabana, and Lemon Lime Twistand I think the result is gorgeous.

I've loved teaming the Sea of Textures set with the Labeler Alphabet stamp set for the sentiment as I love creating my own sentiments. Here is my Bermuda Bay Octopus Card from earlier on in the week:

Obviously you could switch up the colours for a combination of your choice. I'm going to gift this card to my lovely cousin Liam as I found some Hot Toddy powders on my travels (he's a whisky fan) and he loves the sea, so this card is perfect.

I really hope you have enjoyed today's design, please come back soon,

Create a card for a friend using the Waterfront stamp set by Stampin' Up!

This picture shows a hand stamped card, showing trees and a sentiment made with the Waterfront stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Try the Waterfront stamp set
The Waterfront stamp set is incredibly versatile. Create a plethora of scenery cards. The watercolour style of the stamps means it's impossible to get it wrong, and you'll produce great results every time. You can create a range of stunning scenes from mountains to deserts to beaches.

You could try stamping onto some Watercolor Paper and using a brush or Aqua Painter to draw the colour out from the edges of the stamped areas.

This image shows all the stamped images of the stamps that comprise the Waterfront stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Today's project
I didn't have a plan in mind for today's card. I knew I wanted to make a card for a friend, but that was it. I constructed it by gathering the different elements and then adding the stamping.

I used some Tranquil Textures DSP for the background and embossed this using the Seaside Textured Impressions Embossing Folder in the Big Shot. You can find a full list of supplies below.

Simple Sunday: Create a palm tree Thank You card using the Waterfront stamp set from Stampin' Up!

This image shows a simple handmade card with some palm trees and the word 'thanks' three times and is made from the Waterfront stamp set from Stampin' Up!

Love clean and simple cards?
I do! Sometimes less really is more. Your card front does not have to be completely filled, sometimes lots of white space with a small amount of detail works fine, too. We call these Clean and Simple (CAS) cards.

Today's project is a simple palm tree card made using the Waterfront stamp set from Stampin' Up!

This image shows a simple handmade card with some palm trees and the word 'thanks' three times and is made from the Waterfront stamp set from Stampin' Up!

I love this design because it uses very few crafting supplies. You could swap the palm trees for flowers or some other object.

As it's Simple Sunday I leave you with a list of supplies needed to make this project below. Have a great day!
