Make this Call Me Clover 'Thank You So Much' Octopus Card

This image shows a hand made card showcased against a wood grain background with an underwater scene and an octopus on the front. Its sentiment reads 'thank you very much' and has been made with the Sea of Textures stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Isn't this card absolutely gorgeous? I've been really enjoying the new Sea of Textures stamp set and co-ordinating Under The Sea dies, which you've probably guessed if you are a regular visitor to my blog. These are also available as a bundle (more information below).

Did you know that the Octopus has three hearts!? They also have very complex nervous systems. I think they are absolutely fascinating, and I'm so glad that Stampin' Up! has created a stamp set dedicated to them.

Choose your colours!
I love this combination of Blueberry Bushel, Pineapple Punch and Call Me Clover.  The new In Colors 2018-2020 go together perfectly, and are great for underwater scenes like this.

This image shows a blue, green and white hand-made octopus card. Its sentiment reads 'thank you very much' and has been made with the Sea of Textures stamp set by Stampin' Up!

How to make this card
This card was really simple to make.
1. Create the background using the Seaside Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
2. Cut out a circle using the Stitched Shape Framelits Dies and then cut out the fish from the circle using the Under The Sea Dies.
3. Stamp your Octopus in Call Me Clover, and your sentiment on Pineapple Punch Cardstock. The Octopus is from the Sea of Textures stamp set, and the sentiment is from Thoughtful Banners.
4. Mount your card onto Blueberry Bushel and Whisper White Cardstock.

Please note that the Sea of Textures stamp set and co-ordinating Under the Sea Dies are available as a Clear Mount Bundle and Wood Mount Bundle

A Sea of Textures adds depth and interest...
Isn't this card absolutely gorgeous? It was so easy to make!

It has been created using the new Sea of Textures stamp set by Stampin' Up! and is available in the our new Annual Catalogue.

This image shows a hand made card against a wood grain background with an underwater scene and an octopus on the front, its sentiment reads 'thanks, you're one of a kind' and it is made with the Sea of Textures stamp set and the Under The Sea dies by Stampin' Up!

This stamp set features all sorts of sea-themed images and the matching Under The Sea dies are heavenly!

You can create so many different looks with this stamp set, I will be showcasing another one like this in shades of purple soon.

How to make this card
This card was really simple to make - it just has a lot of detail:
1. Sponge the background in 3 different colours - Pacific Point, Shaded Spruce and Balmy Blue - the latter two are not available until the new catalogue comes out in June.
2. Layer up stamped images and die cut images .
3. Add your sentiment. I used the one from the Sea of Textures set.
4. I used Artisan Pearls from our new catalogue.

I really hope you enjoyed this project! It's so much easier than it looks.

Create a scene with the Waterfront Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!

This picture shows a handmade card with a forest and mountain scene, made with the Waterfront stamp set by Stampin' Up! and Tranquil Tide and Lemon Lime Twist ink, also by Stampin' Up!

Waterfront is staying!
You'll be pleased to hear that Waterfront stamp set, found on page 48 of the Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalogue, will be moving over in to the new Annual Catalogue on the 1st June 2018.

This image shows all the stamped images of the stamps that comprise the Waterfront stamp set by Stampin' Up!
I am so happy about this!

I had only just got around to buying this set, and have only recently started using it. It's great for creating tranquil scenes; forests, mountains, and beaches too:

So easy to use
It is a surprisingly versatile stamp set, and once you compose your image it really does look like a watercolour picture.

You could stamp onto our Watercolor Paper and then use a brush or Aqua Painter to draw the colour out.

You can't really go wrong with this stamp set, and it comes with several sentiments, so is perfect as a beginner set for new crafters.

Create this cheerful set of In Color 2018-2020 Cat Cards

This image shows a selection of 5 'Hello' cards made with the 2018-2020 In Colors and Cat Punch from Stampin' Up!

Create a set of cards by switching colours
So as you may know, we have introduced the new In Color 2018-2020 Classic Stampin' Pads a month early to celebrate Stampin' Up!'s 30th birthday.

This image shows a 'Hello' cards made with Blueberry Bushel Ink and the Cat Punch from Stampin' Up!
I have been having SO much fun with these new colours. They are extremely bright and vibrant and fill the gaps that we had in our colour palette. They are called Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, Call Me Clover, and Blueberry Bushel. With 16 other new (or returning) colours coming on the 1st June in our new catalogue, 2018 is set to be a very exciting (and fresh!) year for Stampin' Up!

This image shows the 2018-2020 In Color Assortment Classic Stampin' Pads from Stampin' Up!

This image shows a 'Hello' cards made with Call Me Clover Ink and the Cat Punch from Stampin' Up!How to make these cards
1. Using the Love What You Do stamp set (available from our Share What You Love Bundles) stamp the watercolour wash, and then flowers over the top in the same colour.
2. Use the Labeler Alphabet stamp set to create your sentiment.
3. Use the Cat Punch and some Basic Black Cardstock to create your cat. Of course you can change the colour of the cat, or any other element of this project, if you wish.
4. Mount your card front on to black or coloured card - we will have coordinating cardstock for the In Colors on the 1st June in the new catalogue.

Aren't they gorgeous!? Of course you can add extra stamping or embellishment to add even more depth to your cards. Play around with the stamp set and colours and find the combination you're happiest with.

Don't forget that the Share What You Love bundles are only available during the month of May; when the new catalogue comes out on June 1st you will be able to buy these items individually but with no special offer.

As you can see I have used some of the items from this bundle, and also the Stitched Shape Framelits Dies in the Big Shot.

The flowers are fussy-cut from the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper, which come in the Bundle.

The background paper is also from the set - there are 6 double-sided designs in the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper, so you could create 12 cards using this formula that look completely different!

You could also add some Pearls or Rhinestones (or the Artisan Pearls from the bundle) to the centre of the flowers for extra depth and dimension.

The possibilities are endless.

Isn't it gorgeous? The colours are lovely and it's such a quick and simple project to make.

I'll be back with more Stampin' Up! news and ideas tomorrow, so be sure to stop by.

Create a Melon Mambo Dragonfly Card using the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set by Stampin' Up!

This image shows a hand stamped card featuring a dragonfly stamped using the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set and Melon Mambo ink by Stampin' Up!

Create a layered dragonfly
I am so pleased that the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set is carrying over into the new Stampin' Up! Catalogue (1st June 2018).

I made this pink dragonfly card after the Mint Macaron Dragonfly Card I showcased earlier on in the week - as you can see by changing the colour scheme you can create a totally different look.

What do I need to make this project?
I used Melon Mambo plus some Blushing Bride and Basic Black to stamp the decorative dots, some Silver Metallic Thread and Pearl Basic Jewels for embellishment, and some Vellum for extra depth and dimension:

This image shows a handmade card featuring a dragonfly stamped using the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set and Melon Mambo ink by Stampin' Up!

The sentiment is from Dragonfly Dreams, so no need to invest in another stamp set for this project.

I used the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies to cut out the coloured dragonfly and the Vellum dragonfly.

This picture shows the images that together comprise the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Create a variety of looks...
There is an awful lot you can do with this stamp set - you can colour the tiny panels on the dragonfly's wings, or change the colour scheme of the dots to create a totally different look.

Why not use another colour altogether? Pacific Point and Bermuda Bay are bold and bright.

This stamp set is perfect for all those summery cards, and for those that love either dragonflies or bees.

It's a versatile set and because it has images with sentiments you can swap either with other sets.

I look forward to sharing many more projects with this set over the coming months, if you have this stamp set and would like to share your creations with me I'd love to see them! Use the email address at the top of the page.

Happy stamping,

Simple Sunday: Make this Pear Pizzazz & Mint Macaron Dragonfly Dreams Card

This image is a photograph of a hand made card made from Whisper White Cardstock. It has a middle band of green and blue dots, with a black die cut dragonfly positioned above at an angle with the sentiment Thank You and is made entirely of Stampin' Up! products.

How to make this simple Dragonfly Card
Hi everyone! I hope you are enjoying your weekend and have managed to squeeze in some crafting. It's Simple Sunday today, which means I'm going to keep this really brief. To recreate this beautiful card simply follow the instructions below:

1. Create your card base using Whisper White Cardstock. Fold an A5 piece of card in half and you will have a standard card size. I have cut my card lengthways instead to have the crease at the top. Prepare a piece for the card front.
2. Stamp across your card front using the dots stamp from Dragonfly Dreams - I used Pear Pizzazz and Mint Macaron (coming 1st June).
3. Die cut a black dragonfly using Basic Black Cardstock, the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies (which coordinate with the stamp set) and the Big Shot.
4. Stamp your sentiment in Basic Black ink. I used the Thoughtful Banners stamp set.
5. Adhere your dragonfly - I used some Stampin' Dimensionals which I cut to size.
6. Add some Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
7. Adhere your card front to the base, I use Snail Adhesive.

Enjoy your Sunday, I'll be back tomorrow with more Stampin' Up! news and ideas.

Happy stamping!

Create this simple One Step Stamping Card with the Watercolor Words stamp set from Stampin' Up!

This image shows a white, hand stamped card made with Stampin' Up! products with the word Love stamped three times in Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, and Daffodil Delight.

Keep it simple with One Step Stamping
I love the intricacy of detailed cards - but quite honestly? Sometimes they're a bore! Sometimes, the most satisfying thing of all is to create a bright, fun, quirky card with very little effort.

Today's project, made with the Watercolor Words stamp set is no exception. It has been created with simple One Step Stamping.

There is a lot of beauty in just put stamp to paper.

This image shows a white, hand stamped card made with Stampin' Up! products with the word Love stamped three times in Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, and Daffodil Delight.

Make this card
To create this very quick and simple card you will need the following supplies. Don't forget you can change the colours, and add embellishment if you want to:

1. Create your card base in Whisper White Cardstock
2. Using the Watercolor Words stamp set create your image - I used Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight
3. Add some hearts using the Jar of Love stamp set. You can omit the hearts if you don't have this stamp set, or add some detail from another - for example stars or flowers.
4. Give to someone you love!

Tomorrow is Simple Sunday, so I'll be back with another very easy project.

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your Saturday!

Create a Treetop Card with the Lovely As A Tree stamp set from Stampin' Up!

This picture shows a hand stamped card made using the Lovely As A Tree stamp set by Stampin' Up!; several trees with different coloured leaves sit inside a Pool Party sponged box.

Isn't this gorgeous?
I have to admit that this is not one of my designs but a CASE card instead. Thanks goes to The Creative Grove for this charming design. I really enjoyed making this card, but to make it look even better next time I would stamp more, filling in the gaps between the trees.

This was a really simple project to make. Follow the steps below:

It's so simple to make this card...
1. Mask off an area  and sponge with a light blue - I used Pool Party, but Soft Sky (retiring soon) would also work well.
2. Stamp some light trees in the background - the best way to do this is ink up, stamp off a little colour, and then stamp your project. I used Crushed Curry.
3. Using our Many Marvellous Markers (or some other markers you have) colour in the longest stamp in the Lovely As A Tree set (also available in Wood Mount).
4. Give it a 'huh' and then stamp.
5. Add your sentiment. I used 'Enjoy your special day' from Dragonfly Dreams.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I will be back tomorrow with another Stampin' Up! card making project,

Get your hands on the **NEW** In Colors a month early - as part of our Early Release.

Get the new '2018-2020 In Color' colours a month early!
I am pleased to announce that as of today you can get your hands on the new 2018-2020 In Colors.

Usually you'd have to wait until the new Annual Catalogue released on the 1st June, but as we're celebrating 30 years of Stampin' Up! these have been added to our Early Release.

Create gorgeous cards with the Dragonfly Dreams Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!

This image is a photograph of a white handmade card showing a dragonfly stamped in Pool Party and Mint Macaron using the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Create your Dragonfly Dreams masterpiece!
I'm so pleased that the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set is carrying over into the new Stampin' Up! Catalogue (coming 1st June 2018). This is one of those sets which I haven't explored all the possibilities of yet!

I used Mint Macaron which is returning (available on the 1st June), plus some Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz to stamp the decorative dots, some Silver Metallic Thread and Rhinestone Basic Jewels for embellishment, and some Vellum for extra depth and dimension:

This image is a close up of a white handmade card showing a dragonfly stamped in Pool Party and Mint Macaron using the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set by Stampin' Up!

I used the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies to cut out the dragonfly and the Vellum. The sentiment is also from Dragonfly Dreams, so no need to invest in another stamp set for this project.

This picture shows the images that together comprise the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set by Stampin' Up!

There is an awful lot you can do with this stamp set - you can colour the tiny panels on the dragonfly's wings, or change the colour scheme of the dots to create a totally different look.

I also made this card in Melon Mambo and other shades of pink, which I will be sharing later on this week.

This stamp set is perfect for all those summery cards, and for those that love either dragonflies or bees.

It's a versatile set and because it has images with sentiments you can swap either with other sets.

Hopefully we'll see the return of the sun (and therefore the bees and dragonflies) soon as it has been very cold and gloomy in Suffolk!

Thanks for stopping by today, do come back soon.

Happy stamping,
