Lovely as a Tree Stamp Set: Make a gorgeous tree card in non-traditional colours

Have a go at creating this gorgeous card using the Lovely as a Tree stamp set and Melon Mambo Classic Stampin' Pad by Stampin' Up!

Hello there, and a happy Tuesday to you! The days are going past in a flash at the moment, that's half of December nearly gone already. Are you organised for Christmas? I'm nearly done now, just a bit of wrapping left to do, oh, and of course the Christmas food shop a bit nearer to the big day!

Lovely as a Tree
Today I am sharing a project made with the Lovely as a Tree Stamp Set (also available in Wood Mount) by Stampin' Up!
It's considered a classic set and has become a customer and demonstrator favourite since its inclusion in the first UK Annual Catalogue launched in 2007. It is the only stamp set to have been in every catalogue since then.

It is composed of several timeless tree images which can be used in so many ways. You can keep them plain, watercolour them or use them in non-traditional colours as I have done.

I decided to go for a non-traditional coloured tree today! I stamped it in Melon Mambo for a shock of bright pink.

Add your sentiment
I used the Labeler Alphabet Stamp Set to print the heart (in Garden Green) and make a sentiment - in this case 'Hello'.

The background pieces of cardstock are a piece of Garden Green and a piece of Whisper White Cardstock marbled using the Shaving Cream Technique - I used Melon Mambo, Elegant Eggplant and Garden Green ink refills to create the look.

A piece of Whisper White Baker's Twine finishes off the project nicely. Check out these other Lovely as a Tree creations.

Back soon,
