Number of Years stamp set - plus matching Large Numbers Framelits

On Sunday I went to Nowton Park in Bury St. Edmunds for the West Suffolk Spin. This is an annual cycle race which raises money for the local hospital. I was invited along by my friend and college buddy who works for a cycle shop, and we provided massage to the cyclists - many of whom completed the 100 mile route.

It was such an honour to provide relief for tired legs!

We had a lot of fun! You can visit my other website at if you're in the Ipswich area and fancy a massage or Reiki.

It is actually my friend's birthday today (Happy Birthday pumpkin!) so I made her this card:

Bear Hugs Stampin' Up!

Bear Hugs Stampin' Up!

Good morning everyone!

I made today's card using the Bear Hugs stamp set (available by pressing the SHOP NOW button above). I absolutely adore this set. It is so veratile and you can create the whole bear family. I could have watercoloured the bears but on this occasion decided to keep them simple.

I teamed it with some Going Places designer series paper, this paper is retiring and won't be available from the 1st June 2016 onwards, that's when the new Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue starts (so exciting).

If you are a regular to the blog and wonder why the little ticker at the bottom with the products has gone, I have taken the decision to remove it. Although very pretty, it took a lot of work, and it cost a lot of money and it took up precious space! If there is something you've seen that you'd like don't hesitate to contact me and ask what products I used.

Suite Sayings - Sentiments

Good morning all!
I'm making the most of the Go Wild designer series paper stack while it is still with us in the current catalogue - only a few days until the new Annual Catalogue (1st June 2016).

Suite Sayings stamp set, Go Wild Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up!

A card like this is so quick and easy to make, and by changing the paper you could create hundreds of different cards with the same layout that look totally different!

It's just a quick one from me this morning, I'll be back tomorrow with another project, the products for this card are in the ticker below,

Top Ten Craft Products

Every now and then I do a post about my favourite craft supplies - today I list ten things that I could not be without. As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator I personally craft with all of these items.

To buy any (or all!) of these items click the Shop Now button at the top of the page. If you have any questions about these, or how they work, then please get in touch and I'll do my best to answer your questions.

1. SNAIL adhesive
Absolutely the best paper craft glue on the market and I've tried many glues. SNAIL applies a controlled amount of adhesive directly to your project, sticks fast and is of archive quality - your hands and work area never get sticky. Best for card making and scrapbooking. £6.25/£4.00 (refill)

2. Sponge Daubers
Use these on the end of your fingertips to add a distressed look to any project. Use on stamps or directly onto projects. Also good for stamping circular areas of ink to create an unusual background, or for applying ink to stencils. £4.50 for 5

3. Adhesive Remover
No-one is perfect! Remove unsightly adhesive and save your project. Works like an eraser and removes sticky glue trails. £3.25 for one eraser.

4. Stamp-a-majig
I've talked about my love for this item before! A must-have for any stamper - this little beauty helps you position every stamp exactly where you want it. A simple bit of kit that is so easy to use. £11.00

5. Stampin' Scrub & Stampin' Mist
Ok, so I'm cheating here a bit as these are actually two items, but they work in perfect harmony! The Stampin' Mist smells gorgeous - you spray it on to the "wet" side of the Stampin' Scrub and you rub the stamp until it is clean, drying it on the "dry" side of the Stampin' Scrub pad. Voila! You have clean, dry stamps; even the most detailed ones. The plush, black washpads are removable so that you can clean them. Another absolute must. Stampin' Scrub is £15.50 and Stampin' Mist is £4.00 (60ml bottle, then £8.50 for a 237ml refill bottle)

6. Color Caddy
Ok, so this is a little more expensive than some of my other must-haves, however this is absolutely perfect for storing all your ink pads and for all your ink refils (they sit in the top). This ensures there is no leakage from your lovely juicy ink pads and a quick sweep of the hand spins it around ensuring you can reach all the colours you need. Color Caddy costs £54.00

7. Stampin' Dimensionals
These double-sided adhesive foam squares add depth and dimension to your projects. Use them to raise up parts of your projects and add interest and style. Instant bond. 300 in a pack.

8. Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad
No craft stash is complete without this black, acid-free ink pad. You'll love the coverage it gives. Refills are available. Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad £5.50

9. Fine Tip Glue Pen
No more sticky messes! Reach for this when you need whisper-thin strands of glue. The slender precision tip lays down a fine line of glue - great for adhering delicately detailed paper die cuts, teeny embellishments, sequins and bits of glitter. £6.25 for 30ml/1oz.

10. Washi Tape
This can be used in so many ways. As well as being bright and colourful and used on your projects to decorate them, you can also use it for other things. For example to mark out areas for sponging, or to attach your project to your grid paper while you work on it. It comes in lots of colours and patterns. Various prices
Stampin' Up! Washi Tape,

I really hope you enjoyed seeing the products that I use and swear by. I think it is especially important to hear about the adhesives that other crafters use as there are a lot on the market that don't work especially well.
Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back tomorrow with more crafty ideas,

Bear Hugs Stamp Set

Bear Hugs Stamp Set, Stampin' Up!

Good morning,
A super sweet and simple card today - I love the Bear Hugs stamp set so much and this was what I used to create this cute card. I used Bermuda Bay for the card base and the little red heart was punched using the Owl Builder Punch set.

The Bear Hugs stamp set:

Isn't it adorable? There is so much you can do with it and the sentiments are beautiful. To take a futher look at it it's in the product ticker at the bottom of the page.

Cleaning Your Rubber Stamps

To make your stamps last as long as possible, and to ensure that you always get a great stamped image, it is imperative that you clean your stamps properly. It is also really important to clean your stamps as soon after stamping as possible, and especially in the case of Photopolymer stamps, which tend to stain.

You need to use something that is not only going to clean your stamps, but something that isn't so harsh that it will cause the rubber of the stamp to perish.

I know of people that use baby wipes to clean their stamps and whilst they are gentle ~ they're for baby's bums, afterall! ~ you must use alcohol-free or aloe-free wipes if you are going to use this method.

You should never submerse stamps in soap or water, or run them under the tap. If they get saturated the foam between the wooden block and the rubber stamp may come apart or distort, which can ruin your stamped and the image it produces.

The best way to clean your stamps is to use a cleaning fluid that has been developed especially. Stampin' Up! have created two products that work as a partnership to clean stamps effectively. Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner work together to clean professionally, leaving your hands dry, and your stamps in great condition.

I have listed all the stamp cleaning products at the bottom of this post in the products ticker.

Suite Sayings, Stampin' Up! - Thanks For Being You

Hi all,
Wow! I have been looking back over this blog and this is the 5th year of writing it! It is so good to have a hobby and it makes even more sense to write about it and record what you have created. There have been some really amazing ideas - especially in 2013, where I blogged 173 times - I wonder where I used to get the time!

Thank you to all those who have visited and to all those that have ordered Stampin' Up! products through me. I am so happy and proud to be your demonstrator.

You may have noticed that a lot of the projects I post are nature themed - there are always a lot of flowers and trees. Nature is where I find the most inspiration and Stampin' Up! has plenty of stamp sets and products to cater for that style.

Suite Sayings, Stampin' Up! - Thanks For Being You

What inspires you? I love to hear from people that stumble over my blog so please feel free to leave comments about what you like on this blog and what you like to craft. I'd be so happy to hear from you.

Today's project was made using two stamp sets; Suite Sayings (for the sentiment) and Sheltering Tree. I use Sheltering Tree a lot, you can make all sorts of projects with it. Google it and see what you can find.

I kept this card really simple but it really works. You can find everything you need to make it in the ticker below.

Watercolour Wings, Stampin' Up! - Just For You

Watercolor Wings stamp set, Stampin' Up!, Crafty Hippy

Good morning all!
I hope you're getting the lovely sunshine we have here in Needham Market today. I thought I'd celebrate the summery weather with a cheerful card.

I've been busy this week, I've seen a couple of clients (I'm now a fully qualified massuese!) and the doctor has changed my medication for a trial, so I've got a bit slower and unfortunately I've spent the last three days unwell on the sofa. Back to the doctors this afternoon!

I thought I would post up this lovely project that we made in class a couple of weeks ago. We focused on really simple cards as a couple of the attendees had never tried card making before. We used the Watercolor Wings stamp set which is available to buy (see the ticker below).

I have included both the bundle (stamp set and dies) and just the stamp set on its own in the ticker. The Big Shot is also listed (you need the Big Shot to run the dies through).

You can order Stampin' Up! products wherever you are in the UK (use the Shop Now) but if you are local to me (IP6) then why not come along to my class:

Please email or call to book or get more information. Classes are informal and lots of fun!

Alternative Stamping - Part 2 of 2

Good afternoon all!

So last week I posted up some pictures of a lovely National Trust Recipe Folder I was given. This folder is absolutely gorgeous and has spaces to save magazine recipes, and blank pages to write out your own.

I decided to alter it a little bit...

Leaves stamped under picture:

Tree stamped at the bottom of the page:

I went for trees and leaves because the National Trust have been protecting countryside and our heritage for many years and it fits well with the design of the book. I used a Mint Macaron Classic Stampin' Pad.

You might remember that some time ago I stamped on a vase with some StazOn ink:

Stamping onto glass, StazOn, Stampin' Up!

A great way to cheer up old vases or glass windows.

There are so many projects you can do with stamping, you don't have to be restricted to cards and scrapbooking projects.

Named Cards

Subtles Colour Collections Paper, Stampin' Up!

Good morning all,
I made these gorgeous cards for my fab college tutor and her assistant (who was learning to teach) to say thank you at the end of our massage course.

I have to admit I used some old Stampin' Up! dies (not having any new ones) but it is possible to get letter dies from Stampin' Up! still, and I shall place the details in the ticker below.

Subtles Colour Collections Paper, Stampin' Up!

It was such a great course and it was so much fun. I met some really lovely people and it is an honour to now be a professional masseuse!

I think these polkadot cards were just perfect - simple and beautiful - perfect for ladies that work in the beauty industry!

Subtles Colour Collections Paper, Stampin' Up!

These cards have very little stamping and colours are simple - they are really effective and look better 'in the flesh'. I used the polkadot sheets out of the 'Subtles' Colour Collections Paper, and the 'thanks' sentiment is from Cottage Greetings.

You can find everything you need to make these projects in the ticker below.

Alternative Stamping - Part 1 of 2

Good morning all,
I often look for alternative things to stamp. Why restrict yourself to paper and card? This is the first of a two part series where I am going to show you what else you can stamp.

alternative stamping ideas, Stampin' Up! UK

I received this lovely National Trust Recipe Book as a present, it's absolutely gorgeous but I decided that the recipe pages you write on are a bit plain. As the cover is so beautifully decorated I thought that the inside should be decorated, too.

alternative stamping ideas, Stampin' Up! UK

There's not a whole lot of room for each recipe, but for those longer recipes that require two pages there's enough room for a bit of stamping.

alternative stamping ideas, Stampin' Up! UK

I'm thinking that it has to be nature inspired stamping - either flowers or insects or trees, although obviously it's up to you - it has to reflect your style.

I shall post back with pictures of the final stamped version and show you an old post where I did some other alternative stamping.

Have a lovely day today, it is going to be another gorgeous sunny one in Suffolk!

Stampin' Up!'s Amazing Punches

Good morning,
I thought I would do some posts that were very product specific because sometimes it's difficult to know what Stampin' Up! sell without having an actual catalogue in your hands. If you would like a catalogue please contact me and I'll send you one.

In my opinion one of their best product ranges is their punches.

I believe that the Stampin' Up! Owl Builder Punch is one of their best sellers. I have this at home and it is so much fun. Google Stampin' Up! Owl Builder Punch and look at the images available - just amazing what you can do with it. You can make bats, reindeer, cats, fish, penguins, and of course owls...

The Elegant Butterfly Punch is beautiful and co-ordinates with a couple of stamp sets:

The Decorative Label Punch is a firm favourite and will be staying in the new Annual Catalogue which is coming 1st June 2016:
