From My Heart

Stampin' Up! From My Heart, Dictionary, Summer Silhouettes

Good morning everyone!
Have you had a good weekend so far?

It's really cold in the Crafty Hippy household - quite a shock after the lovely warm spring weather of last week! My house is 109 years old and very drafty, so sadly the heating is back on. It is Beltane next week, the ancient Celtic celebration of the first stirrings of Summer, and so I hope that the warmer weather will bring some inspiration! Besides, it's not easy to craft when you're all wrapped up in a blanket.

I am off to Butser Ancient Farm as always to celebrate - if I get some good photographs I shall post them up. Mr Hippy and I will be out for the day before the celebrations and I shall be looking out to see if the Hawthorn has flowered; a traditional sign that Summer has arrived. Here's a picture of the wicker man they burn at Butser:

There are also some other things that are worth celebrating this summer - at the end of July I will be moving! Although I will dearly miss my cottage I will be moving into a larger and much warmer house and will be concentrating on Stampin' Up! full time again. This means I will be able to go back to daily updates - hurray! I will still be here for all your crafty needs and you can still order from my website wherever you are in the UK.

So that now the retired list is up some of the cards on my blog in the next month will feature retiring stamp sets, but I will be sure to point this out.

Today's card was made using retiring stamp sets Dictionary (the background stamp) and From My Heart which features the lovely friendship sentiment in the middle. The leaves are from the gorgeous Summer Silhouettes set which is staying.

I've used one of my favourite colour combos: Marina Mist, Early Espresso and Crumb Cake. All mounted on Whisper White cardstock.
