Inspired by Nature ~ Day 1

Stampin' Up! Swallowtail

Good morning everyone.

Today sees the start of my ten-part series "Inspired by Nature" - a selection of cards featuring animals, plants and flowers.

This idea came to me as we experienced some of the better weather last week, I wanted to celebrate the arrival of Spring and the journey towards Summer; shame today is so wet and grey!

First up is a card I made using Stampin' Up!'s Swallowtail stamp - which is HUGE - and absolutely gorgeous. I've managed to get a faded, washed-out look, but please be assured that this stamp prints a full image. More from this stamp later.

I used Whisper White and Crumb Cake card-stock; and four bottles of ink - Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive - being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator all these items are all available to purchase through me.

If you would like to learn more about Stampin' Up! and what I do then please get in touch-

Back tomorrow with Part 2

  1. So pretty, love the colour combination you have used! XX

  2. Thank you so much ladies.

I used a curved plate as a base for the ink and so the image on the stamp (because it is so large) was not pressed down completely, and initially I wasn't sure ~BUT~ I now think it has its on charm :)

  3. Such a beautiful, delicate looking butterfly - gorgeous card x
