Silver Embossing

As you can see despite my adventures I have been super busy! Here is a card I made recently but forgot to post up. I wanted to make a card that was embossed using the lovely silver powder that Stampin' Up! make. I'm really pleased with the end result, but can't help but feel it looks a bit Christmassy! What do you think??

It didn't take me long to make this. I stamped using the Mixed Bunch stamp set, which I love but haven't used much yet. I punched the image out and the pink cardstock behind it using the matching punch. I finished it off with a small, subtles brad in the middle. You could use any combination of colours I think to make this look like a different card from the one you see now.

Gift card holder

Following on from the cards I posted yesterday using the Apothecary Art stamp set and Twitterpated Designer Series Papers;  here is a simply beautiful gift card holder that I made for a friend's birthday.

It was really so simple to make. I made a card with two opening flaps instead of just one that met in the middle, and I covered them in the Twitterpated DSP. I then added the extra panel inside the card (fixed at the sides with SNAIL adhesive) to hold the giftcard. The addiction of the ribbon, plus the die-cut shapes to open the card makes it look really smart.

Once made I put a money-loaded giftcard in, making it seem like a proper present rather than just a voucher. So easy, so simple, so effective!

If you would like to order Stampin' Up! products, have a demonstration and/or a chance to have a go with these products to see if you like them, or to come to one of my classes or Stamp Camps please don't hesitate to get in touch!

Apothecary Art

Hi everyone!!

Well, I'm back after a very muddy five days at Sunrise Celebration festival... The sun didn't shine until it was time to pack up (a day early for us) and go home.

I have a whole host of cards to show you that I haven't posted up yet.

First off, I thought I'd show you what I have made using the Apothecary Art stamp set and Framelits dies (which I used on my Big Shot).

This card was made using a Soft Suede background and So Saffron cardstock, along with a touch of First Edition Designer Series Paper. I stamped the image in Soft Suede and used pens to colour in using a blender pen. I used a sentiment from the Curly Cute set. I finished it off with a lovely Certainly Celery Grosgrain ribbon. I really love this stamp and die set!

This next card is basically the same card as the first but using Twitterpated DSP as the background, a different colour ribbon (in a different position) and a rhinestone. Two different cards with pretty much the same layout. I used the words "So Grateful" from the Apothecary Art stamp set this time.

Have you bought the Apothecary Art stamp set??? What do you think?

Father's Day

It's Father's Day this Sunday (17th) so here is a card that I made for my Dad. I used Baja Breeze as the main colour and used DSPs Twitterpated and First Edition. I inked "DAD" in Letter-It letters and stood those out on Stampin' Dimenstionals, and seperated using some Subtles Glimmer Brads. I finished off with a lovely grosgrain ribbon in whisper white.

Hope you like it Dad!

The latest adventures... from my sister blog

Good evening,
Here are my latest adventures from my sister blog!

Hope you enjoy!!

Demo flower

Well, it's been such a busy week (again!!) that I have got a bit behind on posting, which of course means I have about a squillion cards to take photos of and post up for your perusal!!

I thought I would share in this lovely little card today as I already had the picture on file(!) and this is what we made last Tuesday at my workshop. So it should come before the others this week I think.  Well, everyone had a go at making this at my workshop and everyone loved it!!

I stamped the Fancy Flower woodmounted stamp in Pumpkin Pie, which is a lovely rich orange, which of course is one of my favourite colours EVER, and then I teamed it with some Perfect Plum and So Saffron card and cut the flower out itself using the matching punch from Stampin' Up! I inked a Perfect Plum, Curly Cute "Thank You" sentiment and there it is - a beautiful card in no time at all!! This is such a versatile little card, even changing just the colours would make it look different instantly. I love it.

I am looking to start my Scrapbooking and Card making classes very soon so please get in touch if you are interested!

Changes to blog design !!

Hi there everyone
I'm making some changes to my blog design so please bear with me.... normal service will be resumed soon!!!

A busy little bee....

So, as the title suggests I've been a really busy bee this week!!

After a weekend spent with family I have been super-busy with Stampin' Up! - making  cards and samples, and sorting out a workshop I was holding at home. I've also been getting ready for my monthly cardmaking and scrapbooking classes ~ I've only been an official demonstrator for a couple of months but already interest is building and I need to get myself organised!!

I am also preparing for my first "Stamp Camp" - 3 of the places have been taken so currently only have a couple left. Really looking forward to that!!

In my "other" life I am preparing for the festival season! I was a very lucky girl and was given a ticket to Sunrise Celebration, so looking forward to that, but pleading with the weather to brighten up and be good!!

Stampin' Up! have got a wonderful promotion on at the minute - buy 3 packs of their gorgeous Designer Series Paper and get the fourth FREE !! Please get in touch with me if you would like to order, or know more:

I wish you all a pleasant, prosperous day! xx
