Create bold masculine cards with Stampin' Up! craft supplies
I find the traditional sports stamps featuring golf, cricket, rugby or even stamps with DIY tools a bit patronising... What about the men who like heavy metal, skateboarding or painting Warhammer figurines??
I think Stampin' Up! have got the balance right - there is a good combination of male stamps that include classic cars, old fashioned hats and anchors (see Guy Greetings), motorbikes (One Wild Ride) and soldiers (Loyal & True).
I think another way to get around it is to keep it simple with a sentiment and a strip of Designer Series Paper - in today's project I have used the Pick a Pattern DSP and a 'Hello There' sentiment from the co-ordinating Pieces & Patterns Stamp Set. I think I've just about pulled it off, don't you?
Tempting Turquoise Ink with the Basic Black of the DSP and the dark bronze of our Copper Trim - I wouldn't usually add ribbon to male cards but I think this card is an exception. Somehow it just works.
I'm sure the other Stampin' Up! demonstrators in the UK (and around the world) would agree with me that masculine cards are a lot more challenging to make, but it is exactly because of this I really enjoy making them.
If you have recently made some masculine cards with Stampin' Up! products I'd really love to see them. In fact I love submissions of work of any card, scrapbooking page, gift or home decor project made with Stampin' Up! products. If you have one you'd like to show off then please feel
free to email me pictures to firstname.lastname@example.org - I'd love to see your creations.
That's all from me today, I'll be back soon with more ideas and projects for you to CASE. Take care of yourselves, big hugs,
Pieces & Patterns Stamp Set
