Happy Beltane! Happy Anniversary Mr Hippy!

Beltane Handfasting, Avebury, Wiltshire,

A year ago today Mr Hippy and I were handfasted. And what a year it has been. We've had more than our fair share of ups and downs (mainly downs), but we're positive that the year ahead will be our best year yet. We have weathered the storms together and we're still standing strong. I'm really proud that we have managed this - I love you Mr Hippy with all of my heart. Happy Anniversary xxx

On Saturday we went to our annual Beltane celebration, although we missed it last year because we were in Avebury being handfasted by our friend Terry (a Druid, pictured). We go to Butser Ancient Farm where they burn a huge Wicker Man to celebrate the first stirrings of Summer.

Beltain at Butser Ancient Farm,

Here is today's project, this is actually the card I gave Mr Hippy for our Anniversary. The sentiment mentions 'friendship' - this is really important this year as I wanted to point out that at the very foundation of our relationsip is friendship. Mr Hippy is my best friend, and I will always stand by him as a friend whatever Life throws at us.

Sheltering Tree, Stampin' Up!

I used the Sheltering Tree stamp set and used the heart from Jar of Love to print some hearts in the tree in three colours - Garden Green, Old Olive, and Real Red. The tree has been stamped in Chocolate Chip and the sentiment is in Basic Black. Really simple and effective, another Clean and Simple (CAS) card.

Here are our Beltane smiles...
