More masking creations - using Drawing Gum to mask over an area before stamping

Now that the weather has taken a distinct turn for the better (hooray!) I had better share all my autumnal cards, projects, and pictures - before the happy, sunny ones appear! Truth be told I can't help creating autumnal projects because I love the colours and that time of year.

I recently took some pictures of Mr Hippy and I that I haven't managed to share yet - this is us visiting Carnglaze Caverns in Cornwall. That was a decidedly cold and wet day!

Here is Mr Hippy looking resplendent in his yellow hard hat...

And me looking a little awkward in mine...

The caverns were beautiful and a sight to behold - there is actually water in the picture below, and it is really, really deep. If you are in the Devon or Cornwall area they are well worth a visit!

So after my winter pictures I had better show you my autumnal card!

This is another creation I made using Drawing Gum. You can read what I last did with it here.

You simply paint the gum over your stamped image, leave it to dry for a while (I left mine for 2 hours) and then stamp, paint, watercolour, brayer, spray or sponge over the top. After your card or project is finished you simply rub the Drawing Gum off.

In this instance it has left the leaf black and white which I think is a brilliant contrast to the orange hues in the background.
