Today's card is a CASE of an original idea by Ingrid Oudijk - her creation with Dragonfly Dreams was very popular with demonstrators around the world and we all went mad for her design. Her original design was actually a landscape piece but today I have made a portrait piece.
Firstly I stamped the dragonfly in Archival Basic Black and then painted over that in Pebeo Drawing Gum, leaving it to dry for a couple of hours.
I then sponged a real mixture of colours onto this card - namely from our Brights colour family but of course you could use any colours you like - Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Pacific Point, Night of Navy.
I used the Night of Navy to add detail from the Butterfly Basics (also available in Clear Mount and in Photopolymer), and then finished off with some stamping in Whisper White Craft Ink
These were the original pictures by Ingrid Oudijk that inspired me:
Thank you for the inspiration Ingrid!
