Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder - Winter Trees Tutorial

Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder

Welcome! Thanks for stopping by my Stampin' Up! blog.

I thought we needed a wintry project today. I shared a similar one to this before Christmas which had hues of orange and yellow, I've been playing with this technique and produced this gorgeous card.

Firstly, to create this beautiful scene you need a Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder which is available by clicking on the link.

To create this look:
1. You need to ink up the side that has 'Sizzix' printed on it, this will ensure that the ink is not on the raised side. Use an Aqua Painter to spread and blend colour from some Ink Refills (drop onto a piece of acetate).  I chose Pacific Point, Pool Party, Elegant Eggplant and Perfect Plum.

2. Add a piece of white cardstock in to the freshly inked embossing folder and run through the Big Shot Machine.

3. Very lightly and gently, run a brayer over the raised image, I used black ink - but you could choose any contrasting colour.

You can create any combination of colours - they all look really fab - this is a great technique for adding depth and interest to your cards or scrapbook projects.
