Stampin' Up! Kinda Eclectic - Triple Stamp Technique

Stampin' Up! Kinda Eclectic, Triple Stamp Technique

Good morning all!
Just a quick one today. This project is so simple to make and features the triple stamp technique. This is literally stamping as many times as you want, without re-inking inbetween, which gives a lovely ombre effect. I used the Stamp-A-Majig. You could use this technique for cardmaking, scrapbooking or home decor projects.

Guy Greetings Stampin' Up!

Hello!

So I am a little bit organised this year...

Guy Greetings Stampin' Up!

Hopefully my lovely step-dad won't see this but I don't think he's likely to stumble upon this blog. I created his Father's Day card using the fabulous Guy Greetings stamp set from Stampin' Up!

Guy Greetings Stampin' Up!

As you can see I have sewn some laces onto one of the shoes to give it an extra layer of dimension. I then backed the image onto some Crumb Cake card. I was really happy with this card! I hope my step-dad likes it.

All the products you need for this card are in the ticker below.

Stampin' Up! Kinda Eclectic - Congratulations Card

Hello! Thanks for stopping by.

Stampin' Up! Kinda Eclectic

Today's project is a very bright and colourful creation. It's a CASE of the card by Christine Miller (with the exception of a few changes), so thanks and inspiration to Christine today.

I used a different sentiment to the 'It's Your Day' slogan on Christine's card; I opted for the 'Congratulations' out of the Guy Greetings stamp set. It still works just as well I think!

Stampin' Up! Kinda Eclectic

I love this card because it is so simple and striking and apart from the sentiment only uses one stamp set; Kinda Eclectic. Take a look at this lovely stamp set here:

Kinda Eclectic, stamp set, Stampin' Up!

The two butterflies match the Elegant Butterfly Punch, and the Bitty Butterfly Punch - the larger of the two is the Elegant Butterfly Punch.

Everything you need to make this card is in the ticker below. I hope you have as much fun making this as I did and don't forget you can change the sentiment and colours to make an entirely different card.

Every Cloud - Sprinkles of Life stamp set, Stampin' Up!

Every Cloud - Sprinkles of Life stamp set, Stampin' Up!

Good afternoon all!
Today's card is a little reminder that even bad situations usually have their merits, it's true that every cloud really does have a silver lining! I love positive thinking - I believe that 'energy flows where thought goes' - and the Sprinkles of Life stamp set from Stampin' Up! lets you sprinkle positivity everywhere. The reason for this is not just the sweet sentiments - this is the Stampin' Up! Ronald McDonald House Charities Stamp Set, and this means that a portion of the profits from the sale of this stamp goes to RMHC.

Every Cloud - Sprinkles of Life stamp set, Stampin' Up!

Sprinkles of Life is a photopolymer set which means it's totally transparent (so you can see where you're stamping). The set costs £19.00 - you get 22 stamps in the set which you can use in a variety of ways - for example the ice cream on top of the cone can also be used for leaves on top of the tree trunk - such a clever set!

The dotty pattern and the sunshine are from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set, which I stamped in Smoky Slate and Crushed Curry respectively.

This was a CASE of a card by Mercedes Weber and is very nearly identical, so the inspiration and credit goes to Mercedes today (thank you).

Here is the Sprinkles of Life stamp set:

Sprinkles of Life stamp set, Stampin' Up!

You will find all the products for making the card at the bottom in the ticker, including this set.

I hope you have a happy day, back soon!

Stampin' Up! Project Life, West Stow Anglo Saxon Village

Good morning,
Here are some more pages from my first go at Project Life. If you have seen my earlier posts you'll notice how this has a different colour theme (the previous pages were turquoise). I'm actually still using the Let's Get Away range - they have a variety of mixed colour and single colour cards co-ordinating, which means you can vary your lay-outs.

Stampin' Up! Project Life, West Stow Anglo Saxon Village

These photographs were taken from our trip to West Stow Anglo Saxon Village with the girls in the Easter Holidays. We all had such a great time!

Stampin' Up! Project Life, West Stow Anglo Saxon Village

Project Life is SO easy to do. The slots fit a standard photograph and the other slots are filled with the Project Life cards. Everything matches completely taking the guesswork out of it, making it so much easier than regular scrapbooking. You can buy any of the Stampin' Up! Project Life goodies through me, a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.

Project Life Let's Get Away Bundle, Stampin' Up!

The only danger with getting into Project Life is now I shall want to co-ordinate our clothes when we go out! There is NO WAY Mr Hippy will let me do that! Haha!

You can find everything you need to Project Life in the ticker below. In the meantime go out and make some memories (being sure to photograph them!).

Expressions Natural Elements, Stampin' Up!

Good afternoon!
Well, it's a wet day here in Needham Market, which means I haven't been able to take any photographs of today's projects. The term 'April Showers' has definitely applied to the last few days, we've had sun, rain, wind, sleet and hail!

Even though we are only in Spring I have noticed that I've had a thirst for bright, summery colours in my projects, and today is no exception.

This card is actually a CASE (minus a few details) of a card by Allison Okamitsu who is a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in Canada. So credit goes to her today.

Expressions Natural Elements, Stampin' Up!

The wooden sentiment (from Expressions Natural Elements) is actually dyed using a Cherry Cobbler Classic Stampin' Pad, so it is a dark red colour, but you can't really see that from the photograph, I think I should have used Rose Red instead but no matter.

All the items are listed in the ticker below. Don't forget that we're nearing the new Annual Catalogue (starts 1st june 2016) so many of our products are retiring and being sold at a reduced price. Go through to the Shop (button above) and click on Retiring Products to see these bargains.

More Stampin' Up! Project Life

Good morning!
As promised, here are some more pages from my recent go at Project Life. I hadn't tried it before and as I mentioned in my previous blog posts, I cannot emphasise just how much LOVE it! It is so easy to make a page to share your memories, and it's really quick as the pouches fit a standard photograph and the Project Life cards fill the other gaps. You simply co-ordinate the pages and voila!

Stampin' Up! Project Life, Let's Get Away

We are so bad at printing pictures these days, everything gets stored digitally and that seems to be as far as it goes which is such a shame.

One of my New Year's Resolutions (not that I generally believe in making them, every day is good for change) is that I would get more photographs developed and actually start keeping a record of what we all get up to. This is especially important when it comes to making memories of the kids.

Stampin' Up! Project Life, Let's Get Away

It was really hard to get a good picture (sorry about that), I had to settle for the kitchen floor in the end as it was raining!

The supplies for the Project Life goodies are below in the ticker, however you can also find them if you press the Shop/ShopNow buttons at the top of the page.

Expressions Natural Elements - Stampin' Up!

Expressions Natural Elements - Stampin' Up!

Hi everyone!
I've been away this week and somehow I always manage to be each year when Stampin' Up! release the Retiring Products list to us demonstrators ahead of the new Annual Catalogue. So frustrating!

However, I have seen the new Annual Catalogue (1st June 2016) and it is SO beautiful. Loads of lovely new Stampin' Up! products for you to buy and play with.

Today's project features one of the accessories that will be retiring - the gorgeous wooden Expressions Natural Elements. These are wooden sentiments that look great on any project.

I have also used Epoxy Stickers (which are a bit hard to see from the photograph) and some Metallics Sequins Assortments. All of the lovely items are listed in the ticker below but please be warned that retiring items are only around for as long as stocks last - so get ordering!!

Click the link HERE to see what products are retiring (and their discounts)...
I'll be back soon, stay crafty!!

Stampin' Up! Sea Street Card

Sea Street Stampin' Up!, stamp set

Hello there,
Today's project was actually stamped using a combination of three stamp sets - sometimes I just can't resist using as many as possible.

The fish were from the Sea Street stamp set which I absolutely adore and which is available through me - take a look at this gorgeous set:
Sea Street Stampin' Up!, stamp set
You can use this set for a fun child's card, or use the more grown-up elements for a card like the one I'm showing you today.

The ink splodge on the project was created using Gorgeous Grunge and the 'I Heart You' sentiment was from the And Many More stamp set, all of which are listed in the ticker below. I have listed the wooden sets, as you don't need to buy acrylic blocks and you're good to go, however, you can buy these stamp sets in a clear-mount version which are a little bit cheaper. Click through to the Online Stampin' Up! Shop (by pressing one of the ticker pictures) to browse.

I shall beback tomorrow with another project,

Stampin' Up! Flower Patch Stamp Set - Photopolymer Stamps

I play with this stamp set (Flower Patch) an awful lot. With just one set - which is basically made up of flower components and a few sentiments - you can create a lot of looks. I didn't buy the matching Flower Fair Framelits Dies, so I cut these elements myself out by hand, but it's not too fiddly and I don't mind.

Stampin' Up! Flower Patch Stamp Set - Discussion of Photopolymer Stamps

Flower Patch can be found on page 76 of the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue and is available to buy through me (a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator). It is a Photopolymer set comprising of 19 stamps and it costs £23.00. You can browse it in the shop by clicking the Shop Now button above.

I didn't like Photopolymer stamps before Stampin' Up! launched theirs a couple of years ago, I had tried many types over the years and found them all to be pretty rubbish. It took me a while to be convinced (by other demos!) to give the Stampin' Up! ones a go (I was a complete cynic!) and I have to say they're pretty amazing. Jane Allmark of Amethystar Crafting will tell you how dubious I was initially!

I'm sure all photopolymer stamps are a better quality now that our technology has moved on but as with all things Stampin' Up! really are fantastic in terms of having the best quality - I won't use anything else!

Stampin' Up! Project Life ~ Let's Get Away

Stampin' Up! Project Life ~ Let's Get Away

Good morning all!
Well, as promised here is my first post about Project Life. I had been accruing some of the bits over time, although I didn't use all of them for my first try at it.

For those who aren't aware what Project Life is, it's designed by a lady called Becky Higgins, and is a quick, easy and stylish way to memory keep, very similar to scrapbooking but much simpler! It available to buy through Stampin' Up Demonstrators such as myself.

The pockets are designed to hold regular 6 x 4 photographs and there are other sized pockets which are filled with the Project Life stationery. It's quick and easy to slot everything in.

Here is my first go at Project Life:

Stampin' Up! Project Life ~ Let's Get Away

I used the Let's Get Away themed cards and embellishment packs. This is probably my least favourite page, so do be sure to check back over the next week and see what else I made.

I am totally hooked. Truly. It was so easy and you don't have to design a page (like you do with scrapbooking), you just rearrange the elements to fit the page, and then slot them in - decorating and journalling where needed.

Project Life has a corner punch, which you can see in the top picture, but I didn't end up using.

Some Project Life goodies - including this particular card and embellishment set - are in the ticker below. All you need to get started is some photographs!

Stampin' Survival Box - What I take away with me!

Hi all!
Today I thought I'd finally share with you a video I made a couple of weeks ago. This video shows you how easy it is to take a complete stamping kit with you on holiday, or for any time when you are away from home.

I was kindly assisted by my daughter Little Hippy, who gets a bit over-excited at the end!

I really hope you enjoyed that and don't forget to check out the Official Online Stampin' Up! Shop by using the Shop Now button (or Shop tab) above.

Stampin' Up! Going Global Stamp Set

Hi everyone,
Well it's back to college for me tonight. It has been a busy couple of weeks and there hasn't been an awful lot of time for crafting or for Stampin' Up! which is always a shame but needs must!

I did manage to do a bit of Project Life very early this morning and I shall be sharing my pictures throughout the week. I'm STILL trying to get to grips with my camera (and generally failing!) - it is a super-duper piece of kit but I just don't seem to be able to do it justice.

It has been a gorgeous day today, quite hot! But after a sudden flash of rain we have dark skies and I can't say I mind going off to college.

I hope you like today's card, the stamp set is Going Global and the paper is Going Places, which matches. All the Stampin' Supplies you need to make it are in the ticker below.
Happy crafting!

Stampin' Up! Endless Birthday Wishes and It's My Party Washi Tape

Stampin' Up! Endless Birthday Wishes and It's My Party Washi Tape

Good afternoon everyone!
Today's project is really super-simple and quick to make. Perfect for when you're in a rush or you want to make multiple copies.

All I've done is layer some Washi Tape - this is the It's My Party Washi Tape - and then stamp a simple sentiment, which in this case is from the gorgeous set Endless Birthday Wishes. Ta-daaa!!

Today I'm in a bit of a rush - I'm eager to get started with my Project Life® - my photographs are a bit blurred but I'm going to make a start and then get the photos re-done. I'm having a hard time figuring out my new camera!! It's all a work in progress. I've done all the jobs on my list (I've been very disciplined) and after I finish this blog post I'm off for a play - hurray!

The Stampin' Supplies are listed in the ticker below. Happy Crafting!

Sheltering Tree ~ Part 4 Winter

Good evening all,
Today is the last part of my 4 part Sheltering Tree series; Winter. I'm hoping to take better photographs of the next set of projects because I won't have Little Hippy with me (she's now gone home) and I won't have to rush!

Today Mr Hippy and I have been for a walk around Needham Market. I am trying to build my stamina and be as active as possible as I slowly get better. Little and often is working well!

Lesser Celandine, Ficaria Verna
lesser celandine

On our walk we saw lots of lovely flowers, but namely lesser celandine (ficaria verna) and wood anemone (anemone nemorosa). I love this time of year. The appearance of celandine is regarded by many as a harbinger of spring, but what is really confusing is that the hawthorn was flowering! Many folk consider the hawthorn flowering to be the first sign of summer - it has certainly been very mild and the daffs also flowered early this year...

Wood Anemone, Anemone Nemorosa
wood anemone

No doubt I will have to make some flower-themed projects soon. I love flowers!

Today I also got some pictures developed so that I could start Project Life®, which I will be doing this week. Project Life® is an ultra-simple and stylish way of memory keeping - a bit like scrapbooking but quicker and doesn't involve tons of supplies. You can order Project Life® goodies through Stampin' Up! (ie through me!) I shall post up my creations this week but you can find out more here

Ok, so here is today's project:

Sheltering Tree, Stampin' Up!

All the Stampin' Supplies are listed in the ticker below - again, I promise to have slightly better pictures in the coming week!

Sheltering Tree ~ Part 3 Autumn ~ Inspired by West Stow Anglo Saxon Village Trip

Sheltering Tree stamp set, Stampin' Up!

Good afternoon all!
We had a great day yesterday at West Stow Anglo Saxon Village. For those that aren't from this part of the country or have never been before, it is an archaeological site and open-air museum. There is evidence of human habitation at the site which stretches back to the Mesolithic period. There is lots to see and do and you can walk around the village and enter the dwellings and see how our ancestors lived.

We took Little Hippy plus her two stepsisters and had a lot of fun! The children really enjoyed walking around the collection of houses that make up the village:

West Stow Anglo Saxon Village

West Stow Anglo Saxon Village

We all had a go at dressing up in some Anglo Saxon clothing, too!

West Stow Anglo Saxon Village

Not a great shot of me but I had to put this up! I love the simplicity of the dress but the contrasting vibrant colour:

West Stow Anglo Saxon Village

Mr Hippy tried on a replica of the Sutton Hoo mask:

West Stow Anglo Saxon Village

Much fun was had by all.

It was the colours of this trip that inspired me for today's post. To stamp the leaves of the tree I used Calypso Coral, Hello Honey and Watermelon Wonder:
