Hello Leaf Card - Vintage Leaves & Endless Birthday Wishes Stamp Set

Good morning!
It's fair to say that we're well and truly into autumn, and almost into winter now. How on earth can it be nearly December!?

The trees are completing their seasonal cycle - the reduction of sunlight and the break down of chlorophyll has meant their leaves have changed colour and they have nearly all fallen off.

A few weeks ago Mr Hippy and I went foraging for chestnuts (this was before his haircut - tee hee)

Still a fair bit of green about in these photograps! Though a big blanket of fallen leaves on the ground too...

So as the trees have lost their leaves I thought it would be lovely to make a project where the leaves are not traditional colours.

I chose shades of black, Tempting Turquoise and Melon Mambo for my leaves, and also masked off a small square of colour using Post-It Notes:

The stamp set I have used for the leaves is Vintage Leaves, which if you're a follower of this blog you'll know well, and the sentiment is from Endless Birthday wishes, which I use a lot as it has many useful words.

I think this worked really well for a non-traditional leaf card.
