Watercolor Words Happy Birthday

Today's project was really simple and easy to make. Sometimes when I'm crafting I set myself a challenge - this time around I chose three colours I wanted to use. The card then evolved from there.

The three colours I chose are Bermuda Bay, Blushing Bride and Old Olive. I also used Tuxedo Black Memento Ink for stamping the sentiment which is from the Watercolor Words stamp set. I think these colours really complimented each other and I recommend this method for putting together your card or project.

The splodges were stamped using the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set which is also available in a wood-mount version:

Gorgeous Grunge is one of the go-to stamp sets in my collection. There is so much you can do with it and it's helpful when you need to add just a little something to a project background. It adds texture, depth, layers and movement.

I'll be back tomorrow with another Stampin' Up! project, thank you for stopping by my blog,
