Elegant Eggplant and Pumpkin Pie

Good morning!
This card is made with a retired Stampin' Up! stamp set - usually I don't show these cards off if they're made out of something no longer for purchase; but I really wanted to show you how lovely these colours go together.
This was a card made for a dear friend's wedding, and these were actually the colours she had for her special day. I found this picture on my computer and realised I hadn't shared it with you all so here it is.

When I am making personal cards for friends of course I dip in to the archives and use whatever I have available to make the nicest card possible - the best thing about being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is I have amassed TONS of stamp sets, ribbon and accessories over the years!!

Anyway, the gorgeous colours here are that of the title - Elegant Eggplant (that's an Aubergine to us in the UK!), and Pumpkin Pie. Fantastic bright colours that perhaps you wouldn't think to use but actually go SO well together.

I know it was a while ago you got married Kim, but Congratulations again!!

Thanks for stopping by today,

Lauren

Dictionary Background Stamp

Dictionary, Papillon Potpourri, Stampin' Up!

The "Dictionary" background stamp has to be a favourite of mine since they phased out the newspaper designer series paper. You can do so much with it - it can be as bold or as subtle as you like.

Here I've stamped with Crumb Cake ink - probably my favourite colour for backgrounds (both ink and cardstock). I've used the Papillon Potpourri stamp set for the butterfly and the Itty Bitty Banners for the sentiment finished off with a rhinestone and some Bakers Twine.

I haven't included the paper I used in the list at the bottom of this post as it's old Stampin' Up! paper from my stash.... I've included the punches but of course you could easily cut the butterfly and the sentiment out by hand with scissors.

Don't forget Stampin' Up! are currently offering a free gift with every £45 spent - click on the Sale-a-bration link on the left side of the page to view the brochure and pick your free gifts.

Back soon,

Now the die-hard Stampin' Up! fans and customers among us will know that the stamp set used here is a little old (and now unavailable), but I desperately wanted to show off the gorgeous Flowerpot Designer Series Paper I have used on this card that I made for a friend...

Stampin' Up! Wood You Be Mine

Good morning,
Here's the alternative to the card I posted yesterday. Again, this stamp set is fantastic for making cards for the males in your life. I think I will be using this set a lot; even the little trees would be so handy for use with other stamp sets.

Stampin' Up! Wood you be Mine?

This set costs £21.95 and consists of 11 stamps and as you can see is a two-step stamp set. I have put the link for it at the bottom of this page.

Don't forget that as we're currently in Sale-a-bration (our annual giveaway promotion) you get a FREE product for every £45 you spend. Links at the left hand of the page for both catalogues, for browsing/shopping online and for the Sale-a-bration brochure (so you can see what free gifts to pick!).

Wood You Be Mine?

Stampin' Up! Wood you be Mine?

Good morning!
Today I have made a card from possibly my favourite set from the new Spring Summer Stampin' Up! Catalogue - it is called "Wood you be mine?"

It's brilliant for all those masculine or male cards...

Stampin' Up! Wood you be Mine?

This is particularly current for me at the moment as Mr Hippy is doing a course in Arboriculture at the end of this year to re-train as a tree surgeon, and the first thing on his list to do when he leaves his current job is grow a beard! So this was the obvious stamp set for making his Valentine's Day card this year. The thing is do I choose this one or the one I am going to post tomorrow??

This set costs £21.95 and consists of 11 stamps and as you can see is a two-step stamp set. I have put the link for it at the bottom of this page.

Don't forget that as we're currently in Sale-a-bration (our annual giveaway promotion) you get a FREE product for every £45 you spend. Links at the left hand of the page for both catalogues, for browsing/shopping online and for the Sale-a-bration brochure (so you can see what free gifts to pick!).

Kinda Eclectic ~ Part 3

Good morning,
This is the last part of my Kinda Eclectic series. The card I am posting today is the same as yesterdays  but I'm using different colours to show you what a difference your colour choices make.

Instead of bright colours I have gone, instead, for much muted colours. They are Wisteria Wonder and Pear Pizzaz, and are amongst Stampin' Up!'s best colours I think:
Kinda Eclectic, Stampin' Up!, Stampin Up
I went for a pearl this time around instead of a rhinestone.

You can click on the coloured inkpads above to be taken through to the Official Stampin' Up! shop (to browse or buy).
Stay crafty!
