Everybunny

I love this stamp set, it's so cute!

Stampin' Up! Everybunny

I've used StazOn ink here to stamp the image from the Everybunny set (I've been using both of these a lot this week) which meant I could "watercolour" it using Stampin' Write Markers and a Blender Pen.

Stampin' Up! Everybunny

Such a simple but effective card. And when you think of all the colour combinations you could try with just this design alone, you'd have yourself lots of different cards using only one stamp set.

The Everybunny stamp set comprises of 8 beautiful stamps that are perfect left blank or coloured in.

For any of the Stampin' Up! products I've used here (or elsewhere on my blog) please get in touch; I'd be happy to help and would be pleased to be your chosen demonstrator.

Pinwheel

Good morning everyone!

I made some gorgeous cakes yesterday and just had to decorate them (ready for guests) with the wonderful Pinwheel Sizzlits Die from Stampin' Up!

This magical little die only costs £4.50 (available through me) and not only cuts out the basic shape but also cuts out the little holes with which you put the brad through to hold the pinwheel together. Simple!

I used Stampin' Up! "Sunshine & Sprinkles" Designer Series Paper (£9.95 for 12 gorgeous, double-sided sheets) and also some Mini Brads (£3.95 for 200), also available through me.

Such a quick, easy and effective project that gives that extra special touch to special occasions.

I run classes where we make lots of great things - please check out my classes page for more details.

Stay crafty!

Stamped Vase

Good afternoon everyone!

It's a bit chilly, isn't it?? After being awake at 5am yesterday and hearing the rain, we were not expecting to wake back up just before 7am to see lots of snow! What a surprise!

So our trip to Volksworld ~ the biggest VW show in Europe ~ was a wintery one. Here's Mr Hippy out in the snow getting our chariot ready:

It was so good to get out (despite the weather) and I also was lucky enough to have a day of crafting on Friday, so lots of relaxation this weekend. Here's what I made:

1. Take one vase!

2. Stamp with StazOn ink!

You can't see from the pics but there are some butterflies in there, too....

 3. Admire!!

The stamp set I used was the beautiful Nature Walk which has 7 gorgeous nature-related stamps.

I used our Stampin' Up! heatgun to heat set the StazOn; however I'd recommend using a crafting lacquer of some kind to fix it if you want the ink to remain perfectly.

StazOn Ink costs £5.95 (excl. postage) and is available to buy through me (a registered Stampin' Up! demonstrator) along with all the other items you find on this website. StazOn ink is especially brilliant for use with blender pens if you have an image you want to watercolour.

Please contact me for more details or to make an order. the_crafty_hippy@yahoo.co.uk   07896 314573

Last day of Sale-a-bration!

Well today sees the last day of Sale-a-bration which is really sad! Thank you to everybody that has already taken part.

The Pool Party patterned paper shown is from the Sale-a-bration "Sycamore Street" DSP which is available when you spend £45 (you get a free gift for every £45 spent) but it's not too late! I can order for you today if you get your order and payment to me quickly.

I love the combination of colours in this card - Pool Party, Summer Starfruit and Midnight Muse - they make a perfect trio.

The strip of newspaper is "First Edition" - this paper is so versatile - and you get 24 sheets in a pack which is amazing value for money at £11.50.

The stamp sets I've used are Fabulous Florets, Summer Silhouettes and Teeny Tiny Sentiments. As you can see I've used a couple of punches - Oval and Scallop.

Please let me know if you'd like to order Stampin' Up! products and make the most of the promotion before it finishes later today. 07896 314573 the_crafty_hippy@yahoo.co.uk

Tabitha

This is a really basic (but effective) scrap-booking page I made using yet more of the "Tea for Two" DSP which I cut down to 8x8 size.

I was really happy because this was one of the pictures I was going to use for my scrapbook and yet the paper matched what Tabitha was wearing perfectly.

I used the Notable Alphabet stamp set (also from Stampin' Up!) and some Melon Mambo ink (love this colour, it's so bright).

Please let me know if you'd like to order Stampin' Up! products - as well as designer paper and card stock we also sell a huge range of other craft supplies including buttons, embellishments, ribbon, materials and all manner of tools.

If you're in my area (Surrey-Hants-Berks border) and you'd like a demonstration then please just get in touch; I'd be pleased to help.

Afternoon!

Good afternoon everyone!

What have you crafters been doing today?? Do tell me! I love getting your comments.

I've had a bit of a day off. I've still been busy, but today has consisted of going to Aqua Aerobics this morning (I'm trying to get fit) and then I went to visit my friend and have a cuddle with her new baby - he was simply gorgeous! I then spent a little bit of time keying an order for some customers.

It's not too late to take part in Sale-a-bration by the way - this is the best time to join up as a Demonstrator and it's also the best time to order. £162.50 worth of crafting goodies for £99.00 if you sign up as a Demo;- and a free stamp set or gift for every £45 you spend on Stampin' Up!

These fabulous offers end this Friday (22nd) so get in quick!! If you want the low-down on becoming a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator then go to this page here. It tells you everything you need to know. Get in touch if you have any questions about either or would like to order.

The best thing about today is I have the evening to sit and craft! Some goodies arrived from Mr UPS today  and so I can't wait to get cracking. I've got:

- Everybunny stamp set
- Flock Together
- Birds of a Feather DSP
- Soda Pop Tops
- Diagonal Simply Scored Plate (this was free from Sale-a-bration)
- Honeycomb Emboss Folder (I've been wanting this for ages!)
- Pin-wheel Sizzlits

I can't wait to use that little lot!

I'd best make the most of the craft table, Mr Crafty Hippy has bought himself a (vintage) sewing machine and will be making van cushion covers tomorrow night I think...... Shall I get a sneaky snap of him sewing?? He looked so cute in the Christmas crafting pics!!

Until tomorrow!
Keep crafty xxx

Soda Pop Tops

Good morning all!

I've ordered these from Stampin' Up! and I cannot WAIT to get my hands on these and start creating. I have seen these made into all sorts of wonderful card projects, jewellery and things like hair slides.

I had a go flattening some real bottle tops with the Big Shot in readiness for receiving the gorgeous Stampin' Up! ones..... you can't get the same good quality as the Stampin' Up! ones as they are thicker and a gorgeous silver colour (and don't have beer brands printed on them!) -  but as we love our recycling so much we are going to use them as Poker Chips and put them in our van's games box:

Perfect, lightweight poker chips for the forthcoming summer of van adventures:

I will post up pics of my creations when I finally get my hands on my order.

If you'd like to order the Soda Pop Tops from Stampin' Up!, the Big Shot (contact me for details and offers) or for anything else from Stampin' Up! then please don't hesitate to get in touch 07896 314573 the_crafty_hippy@yahoo.co.uk

Elegant Butterflies

Good morning all!
I thought it was about time we had a butterfly card! Everyone loves butterflies, and they seem to be so popular amongst us crafters.

There is so much truth in the saying "Happiness is like a butterfly which, when pursued, is always beyond our grasp; but if you will sit down quietly may alight upon you"

I used the lovely Summer Starfruit (I think this may be my favourite colour now) plus some Primrose Petals and some Midnight Muse - 3 of the In Colours. I used the Papillon Potpourri stamp set and the Elegant Butterfly Punch to cut the middle one out.

Get in touch if you need any help with your Stampin' Up! requirements - I'd be pleased to help!

Stay tuned for more butterflies soon.

Watering the flowers

My little girl loved to go outside and water the flowers with a mini-watering can when she was small.... so this scrap-booking page is dedicated to that!

I used a couple of punches to accentuate the page, plus some pearls. The thing I love most about scrap-booking is the use of scraps - using up those little bits of paper and card-stock you may otherwise not get a chance to.

I also did a little bit of stamping on this page using the swirling scroll from the Creative Elements set - but it is not clear at all in this picture, and it is fairly discrete when you look at the scrap-booking page in person.

I'm really enjoying scrapping! And I know I will be so pleased I did it once my little one is older - it will be fantastic to look back at such precious memories which have now been preserved forever.

Changes....

There seems to be a lot going on in the Crafty Hippy household at the moment. Not only the outside changes of the season and the better weather ~ though not at all obvious this weekend with all that rain ~ but in our own personal circumstances, too.

The situation with my job is all-change at the end of this month (I will no longer have one) and so I am hoping to have more time to spend crafting; and on Stampin' Up! in general whilst I look for something new.
I am hoping to get my Etsy shop finally up and running and I will have much  more time for Stampin' Up! parties and demonstrations.

It's a massively nerve-wracking time for me because if I can't make it work as a crafter full time making and selling my things in the next month or so I will definitely have to get another "proper" job... so I'm sending out lots of positive energies into the Universe, and trusting that the right path will show itself, whatever that is......

Please bear me in mind for a fun, crafty party if you love crafting, or if you're just wondering what it's all about. They're free and I do all the work for you. The benefit to you is earning lots of gorgeous freebies and quality time with your friends and/or family whilst learning new techniques.

I'm raising my glass to the future and the exciting things lie ahead (eek) and am following this sage bit of advice pictured here:

Preserving memories

Good morning all,
Last night I had the pleasure of attending (and speaking at) a card-making workshop set up by Jill of Christmas Pie Crafts  - a massive "thank you" to Jill for inviting me along as a guest speaker.

Last night we covered just card-making but as you all know I have been doing a bit more scrap-booking recently. It's a fabulous way to preserve those special memories; especially when your pictures are accompanied by some text to remind you of those precious moments:

This is my girl when she was really little at Finkley Down Farm - she loved the tractors - they were her favourite thing of the whole day.

I love this scrapbook page because it doesn't have a hint of pink on it! (my daughter is very girly) and I love the fact that the flowers and plants framing the picture have actually been wooden-stamped.

The paper is from the ever-so-delightful "Tea for Two" paper by Stampin' Up! which features some gorgeous vintage-inspired papers. I've actually cut the paper down to fit my 8x8" book, but actually comes as 12x12" paper.

If you would like to find out more about Stampin' Up! products then just drop me a line, I'd be pleased to help! the_crafty_hippy@yahoo.co.uk

The Three Simple Rules

Good evening all!
I'm about to go and talk at a craft night - and in truth I'm starting to get a teeny weeny bit nervous!! But how hard can it be sharing the things you love!?

With this evening in mind I have a little post for my gorgeous Demonstrators who are starting out on their Stampin' Up! journeys ~ and for anyone else who can take inspiration from it too, me included ~

Happy Birthday Cate!!

Morning crafters!
It was my lovely friend (and Stampin' Up! upline)'s birthday on Tuesday - I made her this card a few weeks ago and then put it somewhere so "safe" I spent half an hour looking for it! Thankfully I found it on time to give it to her.

I've used some of the gorgeous yellow DSP from the "Sunshine & Sprinkles" set which I just adore. It went perfectly with the lovely sunshine we had that day (they say the sun shines on the righteous) and of course Cate's sunny personality.

All the craft supplies used are from Stampin' Up! - if you see anything you like then please do give me a shout. It doesn't matter where you are in the UK, I can help you with your Stampin' Up! requirements.

We hope you had a wonderful day Cate!
