Pinwheel

Good morning everyone!

I made some gorgeous cakes yesterday and just had to decorate them (ready for guests) with the wonderful Pinwheel Sizzlits Die from Stampin' Up!

This magical little die only costs £4.50 (available through me) and not only cuts out the basic shape but also cuts out the little holes with which you put the brad through to hold the pinwheel together. Simple!

I used Stampin' Up! "Sunshine & Sprinkles" Designer Series Paper (£9.95 for 12 gorgeous, double-sided sheets) and also some Mini Brads (£3.95 for 200), also available through me.

Such a quick, easy and effective project that gives that extra special touch to special occasions.

I run classes where we make lots of great things - please check out my classes page for more details.

Stay crafty!

  1. That's just reminded me that I haven't tried out my pinwheel cutting die - I must do that now!! (how did you attach the sticks to the pinwheels?? x

  2. Jane - they were!! Made with Free Range yumminess, too.

Susie - I used a glue gun and glued the back of the pinwheel to the stick. I'm sure there is probably a better way to do this (aesthetically) but the glue stuck the pinwheel on to the stick fast.

Perfect for weddings or kids' parties! x
