Stampin' Up! Convention ~ Mainz, Germany 2012

Hi everyone!

Well it's good to be back, although I am struggling to fight off the horrible Convention Cold! Still, it didn't ruin what was a simply AMAZING trip!!

I had the pleasure of travelling and staying with Cate from Blue Angels fame, and once in Germany we met up with the rest of the Stampin' Up! ladies in our various teams.

We were staying in the beautiful town of Mainz, situated right on the Rhine, and we stayed in the Hilton Hotel which was just perfect for our needs and was actually connected to the convention centre.

Stampin' Up! Convention bag 2012 Cate and I had an extra night either side of the convention to allow stress-free travel, which meant it really felt like a holiday. This also meant we had a chance to sample a few of the nearby restaurants and cafes.

The first night we actually received our convention bags and two of the five (yes five!) stamp sets were were spoilt with during our convention trip, isn't the bag for this year just gorgeous??

You can see that one of the stamp sets has a question mark covering the copy - that is because it is actually a Demo-only preview from the Seasonal Spring/Summer catalogue for next year!

We also received pin-badges, free gold and silver pens, three lovely make-and-take projects, a convention book, the opportunity to buy convention-only goodies in the Memento Mall, plus loads of training and inspiration. We were also spoilt rotten with the awards night - we had a 15 piece band to dance to, a lovely buffet and the room had been decorated with coverless books wrapped in twine, candles, fresh flowers and vintage teacups - so chic - and added that really special touch to a truly wonderful night.

Here is the Stampin' Stars team:

We're all looking really happy to be at Convention!!! We had so much fun. I don't think I have laughed that much in ages.

If you would like to come along to Convention next year then please don't hesitate to get in touch, we can have a no-pressure chat about what being a demonstrator involves. It only costs £99.00 to join and you get £130 worth of goodies, with no commitment to continue if it is not for you. There are so many benefits and it is so good to be a part of a like-minded, crafting community.
